The baseline assessment can be extended to include the amenity valuation of the tree stock in accordance with The Helliwell System: Visual Amenity Valuation of Trees and Woodland (2003). This assesses the contribution made by trees and woodlands to the amenity of a locality, allowing comparisons to be made between different trees and woodlands, or alternative courses of action. A monetary value can also be attributed to the tree stock.
